As the longest running, privately funded, not-for-profit teen center in the country, Arch Street is proud to announce our 28th year of service to the Greenwich community! Our mission is simple. We provide teens with a safe environment in which to connect and socialize. In a world that seems to be disconnected by technology and differences, there is nothing more important than face to face interaction. We serve the teen population and we are a resource for the parents in our community.
Serving over 15,000 students annually, Arch Street offers a diverse range of programs to Greenwich teens.
Community Service: Hundreds of students participate in our community service programs each year, giving over 1,000 hours of service to individuals and volunteer organizations in the Greenwich community. Our teen governing board, representing local public and private schools, provides students with important opportunities for leadership and team-building.
Classes and Special Programs: We offer a wide range of artistic opportunities; theater and dance classes, acoustical performance nights, and a recording studio available for young artists. At Arch Street teens participate in yoga classes, paddle boarding, CPR certification, hip-hop instruction and our biking program. All classes and programs are provided free of charge,
Meeting Space: Our Coffee House provides students with a safe place to study and socialize with their peers after school, with complimentary WIFI and snacks. The Teen Center is a venue for special teen events, including the Arch Street Meets, aspeaker series, designed to inspire and educate teens about a diverse range of professions.
Middle Schools and High School Socials: We provide age-appropriate opportunities for 6th, 7th and 8th graders to gather with friends from all of the middle schools throughout Greenwich and socialize in a supervised environment. The High School dances, organized by and for teens, are professionally staffed with trained safety and security personnel. These events offer unique opportunities for high school teens from all Greenwich schools to interact with their peers.
Speakers for Parents and Educators
Under Executive Director, Kyle Silver’s leadership, Arch Street has provided a series of presentations given by top experts on the most critical issues facing our teens today. This past year, we sponsored a viewing and discussion of Ben is Back, a film that focuses on the drug epidemic in our country.
Arch Street is a not-for-profit that does not receive any public funding. Please support Arch Street, the teen center with a donation to our 2019-20 Annual Appeal.
With warm regards,
