On Wednesday, October 18th Arch Street’s speaker series (“Arch Street Speaks”) hosted a night for parents and teens to learn about the dangers and risks of vaping.
“Vaping” is the popular term for using electronic cigarettes or vaporizers – devices that heat up small quantities of liquid or oil until they produce an inhalable vapor which may contain nicotine or THC. More and more teens are vaping and this speaker session allowed parents and teens to get the facts.
Speakers included Dennis Bludnicki (Substance Abuse Specialist at Liberation Programs, Inc.), Carlos Franco (GHS Resource Officer, Greenwich Police Department Special Victims Unit), Kyle Silver (Executive Director at Arch Street, The Greenwich Teen Center), Paul B. Sygall MD. (Attending Anesthesiologist and Interventional Pain Management Consultant at Greenwich Hospital) and Lorraine Termini (Dean of Students at GHS).
