Dear Friends of Arch Street,

As the longest running, privately funded, not-for-profit teen center in the country, Arch Street is proud to announce our 27th year of service to the Greenwich community! Our mission is focused: to provide teens with a safe environment in which to connect and socialize with their peers, but we do not stop there. We aim to be a resource for the entire Greenwich community of parents and teens alike. We are here for you and we ask you to in turn support The Greenwich Teen Center, Arch Street today by making a contribution to our 2017-18 Annual Appeal.

Serving over 15,000 students annually, Arch Street is proud to offer a diverse range of programs to Greenwich teens. You are vital to keeping our doors open, as we are a privately funded operation. With your support, Arch Street is able to offer the following services, programs and events for the Greenwich community.

Community Service: Hundreds of students participate in our community service programs each year, giving over 1,000 hours of service to individuals and volunteer organizations in the Greenwich community. Our teen governing board, representing local public and private schools, provides students with important opportunities for leadership and team-building.

Classes and Special Programs: We support advancement of the arts for teens through theater and dance classes, acoustical performance nights, and our new recording studio for young artists. We keep teens busy participating in our yoga classes, paddle boarding, CPR certification, hip-hop instruction and our biking program.

Meeting Space: Our Coffee House provides students with a safe place to study and socialize with their peers after school, with complimentary wifi and snacks. The Teen Center is a venue for special teen events, including the Arch Street Meets Speaker Series, designed to inspire and educate teens about a diverse range of professions.

Middle School Socials: We provide age-appropriate opportunities for 6th, 7th and 8th grade pre-teens to gather with friends from all middle schools throughout Greenwich and socialize in a supervised environment. These increasingly popular events range from DJ dances to mini-golf and obstacle course themed parties.

High School Dances: The High School dances, organized by and for teens, are professionally staffed with trained safety and security personnel. These events offer a unique opportunity for high school teens to socialize with their peers throughout Greenwich, that otherwise would not be available to them.

Arch Street strives to be a resource to the broader Greenwich community. Under Executive Director, Kyle Silver’s leadership, our speaker series for parents holds presentations featuring experts in the fields of adolescence, social media and education. A most recent program on Teen Vaping, was one of the most well received to date, and we will continue to expand such offerings. The program can be found at www.archstreet.org.

Arch Street is a not-for-profit that does not receive any public funding. Only 25% of our revenue is generated from program fees and the balance of our revenue comes from private donors. We count on individuals like you to meet operating expenses. Please be as generous as you can to help Arch Street continue to serve the Greenwich community and the Greenwich teen population.
